This painting was from a visit to Masham, which is in Yorkshire where a part of my family lived in the area many,many years ago. I wanted to catch the natural character of the area where you see water tumbling down without any force with rocks and broken trees and the evidence of life. I love the semi darkness that the shadows bring on the water and I think it’s probably one of my favourite, things to look at when deciding what paint hope you like it let me know

Fascination continues as the sunlight falls into the horizon. For Artist to capture these moments is asking a lot it’s never possible to copy the brilliance of natural beauty as the light falls on the water.. It brings me back again from being child born by sea so when I see the reflections of Colour in the waves takes me straight back and I hope you do too.
This painting had to be reviewed again and again it took me a long time to feel satisfied enough to think someone might enjoy seeing it. As I’ve said many times art is my therapy. For the rest of my life, I shall continue the journey.. please come along and add your comments too.

Night Lights

My favourite place is to be close to water, namely the sea or ocean as the Sun dies down from the sky. Every night it is different yet it is so precious to see even for an hour.. it is a free show is offered every night all over the world encouraging too because the sun sets every evening the Sun will rise again for a new day.

Some years ago we lived in Canada and were anle to see some of the most amazing natural beauty we have ever seen. Everywhere we went round every bend was a vista of superb landscapes mountains and crystal rivers.
The skies are huge over there and is always outstanding with vivid tones on the rock formations that reflect in the water has it rushes down the canyons. A force of nature is my interpretation of some of those places are unforgettable. I would love to go back again one day.This is one of my all-time favourite Paintings hope you like too.
