Solitary Forest which will be the final painting before we close the studio for a season.
I love this solitary tree, which holds the impact on the stark contrast of the landscape.
Lonely tree, yes it is and the way the world is going. There will be many more lonely trees.
Too many have been cut down in the name of profit in the name of advancement it is foolish and shortsighted.
Trees are our best friends on earth they need to be shown the respect and protection of the world

The mighty edge is the title I gave to this painting because of where it is on the east coast of Scotland. It was on a very wild day with high winds and rain,raw and beautiful when we visited friends who lived right on the edge on that coast line.There were so many birds on the water and so much light on the sea that I called the water sea diamonds because of all the sparkling light from the sky.This  is some years ago, I found this photograph and decided it was time to bring it to your attention. Hope you like it as much as I do.

We used to live very close to this lane. It was always covered all year round with branches and wild flowers in fact almost impossible to get through. It was a place that brought horse riders, cyclists and groups of walkers near where  we lived in a converted chapel. It was at a crossroads in Yorkshire. The wildlife was extraordinary and our neighbours were farmers.. it was an idyllic time and we remember it with lots of love. We were very fortunate to live in such a beautiful place however  time moves on and we moved somewhere else. it was a great inspiration for me  because of the memories. Hope you like it.

Some years ago we lived in Canada and were anle to see some of the most amazing natural beauty we have ever seen. Everywhere we went round every bend was a vista of superb landscapes mountains and crystal rivers.
The skies are huge over there and is always outstanding with vivid tones on the rock formations that reflect in the water has it rushes down the canyons. A force of nature is my interpretation of some of those places are unforgettable. I would love to go back again one day.This is one of my all-time favourite Paintings hope you like too.
